    On a Samsung Smart TV, and using a DNS service, do I need a US Netflix account or will a Canadian Netflix account allows me to watch US content (I’ve read that the Netflix App itself from the Smart TV hub may be geo-locked or might not allow “roaming” on the TV – only on laptops or tablets)

    Try it – but i think you need to have a US Netflix account to access US Netflix content (but we dont have any other account than a US one – so if anybody else could confirm that, would be great)

    Dont really understand your question – depends on where you want to unblock netflix from. But with smartdns you can for example, just unblock netflix and access your normal australian country at the same time like normal. With vpn you need to use a virtual machine or a different device for that.

    HI, just love your system works a treat!!! only one thing. I want to subscribe to a 12 month subscription with Qello and with apple TV they don’t give you an option. Only for monthly. I’ve asked apple and they say you just can’t do it. They don’t give you that option. There is more features that you can use i you subscribe for 12 months. anyhow i was wondering if there was any way around it still using apple tv

    I followed the instructions under “For post-2013 ‘F’ and ‘H’ series Samsung Smart TV models”.

    Nothing happens when I press “Mute, Return, Volume +, Channel Up, Mute” and when I try to open the Netflix app, it shows a blank screen.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Hi my name is Andre and my question is would the smart DNS unblock now tv as well? Cause when I log into now tv from where I live its says “content Geo blocked 1301…. Would the smart DNS solve this issue please? And would I need also a vpn to be able to watch now tv? Or do I just just need the smart DNS?

    I have followed the instructions and downloaded the Netflix ap to my Samsung TV. The ap starts, but just stays on the “connecting” message without proceeding to the Netflix screen. How do I get it to progress past this point?

    I´m in the process of setting up the DNS in my philips smart tv. I have a doubt follwing the instructions in the site. In step 4 it says:
    Select ‘Manual’ and then enter the new DNS settings provided.

    But I have some options to fill in my TV:
    1. IP address 2. Primary DNS 3. Secondary DNS. I don´t know where to fill in my DNS (or IP) number… Can you tell me?

    From what I understand is I need to a DNS provider and a VPN profider is that correct? I have a Samsung Smart TV and if I trick the smart tv into changing the regions do I loose my French channels that I get through adsl?

    In this case you could try a DD-WRT router and a vpn connection instead. You connect your Smart TV to your DD-WRT router by Wifi and the DDWRT Router connects to the internet by VPN – preferably to a US Server.

    Maybe the stream is pulled by your tv directly, not over your iphone? In that case, just try a SmartDNS service on your TV – there are some with free Trials, just to try that option.

    Just check the settings on the website of your smartdns provider for your tv. Unlocator and Unblock-US have the best setup tutorials we know of.

    Hi Maggie, you need one of them. VPN is the better option for your computer, Smartdns is the better option for your Smart TV. You dont loose your French channels. You can always set your DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 (google DNS Servers) to remove the SmartDNS from your TV.

    First up thank you we nearly had US Netflix.I followed your easy instructions on how to put US on from Australia on a new smart Samsung tv. We were over the moon so much to choose from we picked the movie and then it came up with you seem to be using an unblocker or proxy. Our modem router we brought is a Night Hawk X4S. I signed up to Exspress VPN as well. Sorry very old school with new things. When it did not allow us to watch the movie I went into there settings in US and it came up with our e-mail plus on the information had like US/au. So please can you help when I went and put the number in manual settings was I just to only change the one set of numbers in the DNS and not change IP or underneath the last set of numbers please. Also in settings on the smart tv please they are you to agree to all or choose manually if you don’t want Samsung to have some information do I tick all please or not thank you again.
